The Warwick designed 66 was launched in March 2003, she exceeded all expectations on her sailing trials in April. She is in the same idiom as other Mystics; state of the art design and materials, using composite construction and equipment to combine high sailing performance with the ability to be sailed effortlesly shorthanded. Above, all an elegant yacht, where the sleek, low level deck saloon blends beautifully into the deck and cockpit.
There are two cockpits. The working cockpit is aft, with twin wheels enabling easy access to the bathing platform. . The six powered winches surrounding the aft cockpit enable the yacht to be sailed without disturbing guests in the large central cockpit. The central guest cockpit includes a large table for dining (and security) . This cockpit is only four steps up from the lower dining area.
The 66, as the Mystic 57, has triple full width swept back spreaders, which with the self tacking Solent jib track on the coachroof immediately forward of the mast, ensures a clear and unobtructed deck. There is a powered winch for hoisting the fully battened mainsail, which is stowed in a hydraulically operated in-boom reefing system.
INTERIOR
The spacious saloon and dining area is slightly elevated, those standing have all round visibility through the wrap around deck house windows, while those seated can still see outside via the hull ports. This yacht has a coffee table to starboard with a wrap around settee. The navigation position is to starboard aft. Immediately forward of the saloon, two steps down, is a superb galley extending the full beam of the yacht. Moving further forward there is a double berthed cabin to por, a cabin with two single berths to starboard and then a small pilot berth in the forepeak. Moving aft down two steps there are two passage berths before the superb aft stateroom which has a centre line Queen sized double berth and a settee that can also be used as a day berth. The Yanmar 170 HP engine and Northern Lights 16kW generator are within a spacious L shaped engine/machinery room. Every yacht is built to order and meets the specific requirements of the client. For example, we have an alternative layout based around the Mystic concept of a mid level chart table/command position with all round vision for the navigator or for an office or workshop to replace the passage berths.
Among the huge array of special features that will come as standard, the Mystic 66 will have a hydraulic operated bathing/boarding platform aft, davits for launching the dinghy, a retractible bow thruster, air conditioning, water maker, trash compactor, refrigeration, deep freeze; in short all that our experience has shown the average owner requires.
The specification and layout for each yacht will be defined in consulation with the owner. Contact us now for more information
