A number of the S38’s cruising attributes are things that all sports cruisers possess, but the S38 has benefits all its own. Its 36-knot top speed and wonderfully light and responsive steering is on the sporty side.
The accommodation breathes easily- every compartment is roomy, with no single area feeling like it is conceding space to another. Headroom is good, and this airy feeling is helped by the double row of opening portholes and overhead skylights. The standard of finish all round the S38 is excellent.
Driving the S38 is a lot of fun, and mooring it is a breeze with its fast acting steering and optional bow thruster. With its good storage, spacious cabins, fine engineering installation, sharp handling, good detailing and quality finish, this is a boat that I would feel more than happy cruising on board for longer than a weekend.
